Scope and Content Note

The Martin K. Snell Papers are comprised of correspondence and a photograph from the years 1851 to 1864 which document the life of a Texas and Confederate soldier and postmaster of Houston. Correspondence contains six letters all written by Snell. Five are addressed to his wife Emma and pertain to business and family matters.
