The Bellaire Historical Society, incorporated in 1974, is a non-profit organization that exists to preserve, maintain, restore and display designated historical landmarks, documents and artifacts of the events and people throughout the history of the City of Bellaire, Texas

The records document the organization and operations of the Bellaire Historical Society, which includes the city of Bellaire and the southwest portion of Houston. Photographs and memorabilia are among the records.

The collection is arranged in six series, with sub-series as appropriate: Series I: Organizational/administrative, Series II: Projects, Series III: City of Bellaire, Series IV: Bellaire-Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce, Series V: Photographs, and Series VI: Memorabilia.
