Biographical / Historical

Soundings was a literary anthology containing works by Rice students and others connected with Rice, under the editorship of George Williams, Professor of English at Rice.


Scope and Contents

The Soundings records consist of correspondence, lists of authors and subscribers and financial records relating to the publication of Soundings (1953). Included in the anthology are works by James Korges, James Dickey, William Goyen, and David Westheimer. An edition of the publication is cataloged in the Woodson Research Center (call # PS 508 .C6 S68)
