Biographical NoteHoward Robard Hughes, Jr., was born December 24, 1905, in Houston. He is best known as an aviator, movie producer, billionaire, entrepreneur and owner of Hughes Tool Company. Hughes attended Rice Institute briefly circa 1924, and on June 1, 1925, he married Houston socialite Ella Rice. Hughes passed away April 5, 1976.
