James V Allred, Texas jurist, Attorney General (1930-1934) and Governor (1934-38), was born in Bowie, Texas, on March 29, 1899 and died 1959.

Series I: Gov. Allred letters, 1935-36

Gov. Allred to Hon. Emil Hurja, March 23, 1935. Thanking Hurja for a steel engraving of Sam Houston's signature.
Gov. Allred to Hon. Emil Hurja, April 9, 1936. Announcing that the Gov. has sent Hurja a copy of a new Texas Almanac under separate cover.
