Biographical Note
Margaret Scanlan was a news columnist for the Denver Harbor News, a Houston neighborhood newspaper, in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Her columns dealt with daily life and events in Denver Harbor. Not surprisingly, given the period they were written in, many of the news items concerned local soldiers fighting in the Vietnam War.
