Biographical Note

Paul C. Roemer was an influential Houston realtor from the 1930's until the early 1960's. Born in 1886, Roemer began his real estate career in 1927 when he joined the Ross Realty Co. In 1932 Roemer formed his own company and became involved in Harris County real estate as well as surrounding areas.

Roemer was also heavily involved in political organization and became an outspoken supporter for conservative issues and candidates. In the 1950's Roemer served as president of the politically active Property Owners Association of Houston. Roemer was also a member of the Tax Research Association and the Friday Clob. Through his involvement with these organizations as well as his own commitment, Roemer became a staunch activist in conservative and reactionary movements in the Houston area.
