		<p>Palmer Bradley, a partner of Andrews, Kurth, Campbell, and Jones and the founder of General Crude Oil Co., served as a delegate to the Democratic Convention in 1948.  He left the convention in protest against "Trumanism" and with the organization of the States' Rights Party became a leader for that party in Texas.</p>
