	 <p>The collection begins with H. W. Stroter, a German immigrant who came to the United States in the first years of the final quarter of the nineteenth century.  Stroeter died in 1910.  T. C. Stroter became an insurance agent for a marine insurance company in Houston, Texas.  He and his wife, Clara, had a son, T. C. Stroter, Jr., who served in the Merchant Marine in World War II from 1943 to 1944.  Stroter Jr. became an insurance agent in Houston, Texas in the 1950's.</p></bioghist><scopecontent encodinganalog="520"><head>Scope and Contents</head><p>The collection contains the correspondence of the T. C. Stroter family from 1885 to 1964.  The major portion of correspondence is between T. C. Stroter, Sr. and T. C. Stroter, Jr. during World War II, 1943 to 1945, and between T. C. Stroter, Sr. and parties involved in real estate transactions, 1912 to 1941.</p></scopecontent><arrangement encodinganalog="351$"><head>Arrangement</head><p>The collection is arranged chronologically according to the dates of correspondence.</p></arrangement><accessrestrict encodinganalog="506">
