The Ladies Auxiliary of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers was founded in 1951.The 82 ladies who formed the group were wives of professional engineers. The group worked to foster fellowship amoung members, promote the field of engineering, provide scholarships for engineering students, and support some local charities. The group's activities include educational, social, and fund-raising events.
The collection is compromised of five scrapbooks compiled to record group activities for the years 1951-1986. Each volume contains correspondence, minutes, treasurer's reports, newspaper clippings, and photographs.
