The Book Haven Book Club was established in 1960 with 87 charter members. Its goal was to develop literature appreciation and to encourage reading. The Club meets once a month, and each meeting features a review of works of literature.
The collection consist of five scrapbooks compiled over a thirty year period to record the activities of the Book Club. The scrapbooks are arranged by year and contain photographs of club events, membership directories for each year, and correspondence. Volume I contains the bylaws of the club and the original charter signed by each of the charter members.
