Bill Melton served as president of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce during 1973-1974. This collection contains board minutes, correspondence, newsletters, and reports of the work of various committees during his tenure as well as miscellaneous publications from earlier years. The materials provide insight into a variety of issues facing Oak Cliff during the mid-1970s including integration (in the Neighborhood Division and Golden Triangle 4 Theater files), transportation planning, neighborhood clean-up, and business development. The collection was housed in notebooks, and the original headings and divisions assigned by Bill Melton have been retained.
