Biographical Note

The Oak Cliff Hub Club was a women's group of young mothers that meet on the first Wednesday of each month. They had speakers and programs that dealt with motherhood and raising children. Classes and programs were offered to both the mothers and their children. Nell Kennedy became the nominated President starting in Feburary of 1948. The children of the members had their own club known as the "Junior Hub Club". The stated purpose of the club "shall be to study the profession of motherhood - so that the children of today may be better citizens of tomorrow".

Scope and Contents

This Collection includes club bylaws and official papers as well as scrap notes and papers from the President, Nell Kennedy. There is also a child's notebook and materials, club brochures, bulletins, and programs.
