The Tall Texans of Dallas is a non-profit social group for tall people. The Tall Texans of Dallas is part of the Tall Clubs International. The Dallas chapter was formed in August 1943 as the Tip Toppers Club. It later changed its name to Tall Texans of Dallas in 1976. The height requirement to join is 6'2 or taller for men and 5'11 or taller for a women. Tall Clubs International sponsors both a Texas and International. Past beauty pageant winners of both contest have been members of the Dallas Chapter.
The collection contains material from both the Tip Toppers Club and the Tall Texans of Dallas. Materials included in the collection are membership applications for both clubs, scrapbooks, clippings and programs. The collection also contains information on members of the Dallas chapter who participated in the Miss Tall Dallas, Miss Tall Texas and Miss Tall International.
