Biographical Note

Marlette Rebhorn (born 1945) has been a history professor at Austin Community College since 1978, teaching courses in American History and Western Civilization. She has won the Adjunct Faculty Great Teacher Award and the Piper Great Teacher Award. In 1988 she published a book, Screening America: Using Hollywood Films to Teach History. She earned her master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania and her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin.


Scope and Contents

25 color slides, taken around 1980, document historic architecture in Austin, Texas from 1835-1940. Some slides have notes written on them such as the date the building was built or the name of the architect.
