Biographical NoteKerry Awn is a poster artist, musician, and comedian from Austin, Texas. He specializes in Austin iconography, and has created posters for various music venues throughout Austin since the early 1970s. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsThe collection contains approximately two hundred and fifty music posters advertising shows at Austin venues such as the Roadhouse, Jovita’s, The Ritz, Willie’s Steamboat, Armadillo World Headquarters, Boondocks Club, Continental Club, Soap Creek Saloon, La Zona Rosa, Club Foot, Liberty Lunch, Velveeta Room. There are also Soap Creek Saloon music calendars and Roadhouse Café music calendars. Bands and musicians such as Jesse Taylor, Tracy Nelson, Uranium Savages, Charlie Daniels Band, Omar and the Howlers, Steam Heat are represented.
