Administrative HistoryThe Concerned Citizens for the Development of West Austin were a group active in the early 1980s concerned with potential zoning changes in the West Austin Neighborhood. They felt that re-zoning would be inconsistent with residential nature of the neighborhood. Scope and ContentsThe collection documents the efforts of the Concerned Citizens for the Development of West Austin (CCDWA) to protest potential zoning changes being considered by the City of Austin. Included are correspondence, mailing lists, a petition and application to the City of Austin Planning Commission and City Council, plat maps and a preliminary Old West Austin Neighborhood Plan.
