E. H. Yeiser PapersAn Inventory of the Collection
Biographical NoteE. H. Yeiser (Edwin Hopson) was an 1899 graduate of The University of Texas. He served as counselor of the Supreme Court and was a practicing attorney, specializing in land law, in Austin for 40 years. Yeiser was married to the former Mary Louise Rowe of Austin and they had three daughters. He served as a lay minister of the Hyde Park Christian Church during World War I and later served in many capacities at the Central Christian Church. Yeiser died on January 31, 1964. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsApproximately half of the collection consists of materials related to Yeiser's work as a lawyer specializing in land law. There are four Abstracts of Title, two Acknowledgement Record journals covering the years 1897-1911 and several other sets of legal papers. Personal items include programs and yearbooks relating to the William B. Travis Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and The University of Texas. Also included are two booklets Yeiser compiled in 1932 and 1948 entitled Words From Jesus "Learn from Me". In addition, there are dance cards, newspaper clippings, and 2 unidentified photographs Return to the Table of Contents
