Dennis is the head librarian for the Walter Geology Library and the Tobin International Geological Map Collection. He is active in the Austin Geological Society, Geoscience Information Society, and Geological Society of America, and is chair of the GeoRef Advisory Committee of the American Geosciences Institute.
