SOFIASelection of Female Iberian Authors |
Awareness of a growing corpus of works by Spanish women writers, bibliographical resources and the microfiche collection of works held at the Biblioteca Nacional de España, has promted us to create a page as a way to follow their work and better focus on their trajectory, contributions and lives, and to assist our efforts in bibliographic control.
Hopefully, it will be useful to students which have courses dealing with the literary output of women writers in Spain.
Like The CELESTINA Web page, SOFIA has been created as a means to enable students to find digital and printed resources reflecting the collection at PCL and the growing digital projects on the World Wide Web.
A well-rounded collection dealing chiefly with language, literature, and Spanish civilization at the Perry Castañeda Library will try to keep up with the output of Iberian women writers with particular care.
We have tried to integrate digital texts (from Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes, the Centro Virtual Cervantes), and other sites as a means to help access digital works of Spanish literature. Please go to the menu on the left to access the SOFIA sections and links.
Thank you for your interest on this page(s), very much under construction.
