Private company information is difficult to find. Since they issue no publicly traded stock, they are not required to file disclosure documents with the Security and Exchange Commission. Some large private companies do have profile information in public/private directories, but most information must come from research reports, news articles, newsletters, press releases, personal interviews, as well as published and non-published information. Small private companies have no government obligation to provide information to the public.
