How To Find Newspaper and Journal Articles

  • type in keyword(s) for your topic in the databases or search the bibliographies listed below
  • if your article is full-text on-line in the database you can print, download, or e-mail the article (note: not all databases allow e-mailing)
  • if you only get the citation (author, title of article, journal title) and summary from the database, index or bibliography:
    • Click on the 'Find it @ UT' button, to see if the article is available in another database or available in paper format.

    • If there is no 'Find it @ UT' button, copy the source of your article, i.e. journal name, volume number, issue number, page numbers, author and title of the article. Then go to the Libary Catalog and type in the title of the journal to check if UT owns the journal (DO NOT TYPE in the title or author of the article).
