Electronic Resources

The University of Texas Libraries at The University of Texas at Austin provide a number of library services for off-campus users. Off-campus users include students currently enrolled in UT Austin-sponsored Distance Education courses, Continuing & Extended Education courses, and UT TeleCampus courses.

Library users who are off campus should use the University of Texas Libraries web site, to access electronic resources. Users attempting to open a database or other resource available only to UT Austin students, faculty and staff will be prompted for a UT EID and password, which will authenticate access. For help with problems connecting to the library web site resources and other technical questions, review the options available through the Get Help page, or visit the Off-campus Connection Problems FAQ page.

Print Resources

Registered UT Austin distance learning students and faculty who need print-based library materials such as books and articles that are not available in electronic format may request delivery of these items through a new service called D-Doc. This free document delivery service is restricted to eligible remote users.
