The Fine Arts Library and the Benson Latin American Collection hold the largest collections of audio-visual materials. At the Fine Arts Library most of the compact disc, DVDs and videocassettes can be checked out.

  • Accessing Audiovisual Materials: Search for audiovisual materials (movies, music and more) in the Library Catalog.
    • Hit: on the Advanced Keyword search page, limit by material type (Compact Discs, DVDs, Audio Cassettes, etc) and/or location, use the Music Search page.
Media Services for Faculty
  • Reserving materials for a class
    • On-site reserves request
    • Electronic reserves request

  • Media Booking (formerly known as Faculty Pickup)

  • Seminar Rooms at the Fine Arts Library
    • To book one or more items for showing on a particular day, use the Media Booking form.
    • To reserve a room for instruction using audiovisual materials, use the Room Reservation form.
FAL AV Retrieval

The AV retrieval service allows a patron to have Fine Arts Library AV materials delivered to any conveniently located branch of the UT Libraries for pick-up.Get CDs, DVDs, and audio & video in various formats delivered to any of the UT Libraries in 2-4 days and save yourself a trip across campus.Simply locate the item(s) you'd like to check out in the online catalog and click the request button. Choose one of the ten branch library locations for delivery, and you’ll receive an email when your item(s) are ready for pick-up.
