Papers Available Online

Paper mill sites have a searchable database of freely available papers as well as offering custom written papers for a fee (usually around $16/page). They may offer outlines, topic sentences, bibliographies and printer-friendly versions. Some even incorporate user-ratings so that the student may gauge which is the best paper for their assignment.

Some of the more popular paper mill sites are:

Planet Papers
http://www.planetpapers.com

Evil House of Cheat
http://www.cheathouse.com

School Sucks
http://www.schoolsucks.com

Free Essay Network
http://www.freeessay.com

Essay World
http://www.essayworld.com

Cheater.com
http://www.cheater.com

Papers available on these sites are of varying quality, but they usually have some common problems including:

  • stilted language
  • many misspellings
  • awkward transitions between paragraphs or sections
  • strange formatting – grayed text, multiple fonts

Papers are also available to students from other university Web pages. Many professors require students to post essays online or create a site about a research topic. These are available to students at any school to copy and plagiarize as their own work. Try searching for ‘term paper’ on any university site and see how many pages are available.
