Description:
In this class, students will be debating issues surrounding the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates. In order to begin to explore the events leading up to the debates as well as the social context for the debates, the Libraries worked with Dr. Stauffer to create an assignment and research guide. The assignment has students find and evaluate 1-2 sources relevant to the Lincoln-Douglas debates. In addition to the guide and assignment, an open research lab was scheduled for students to work with librarians for the course.
