Information Literacy for Theatre Arts

In Fall 2004, Theatre faculty began revising their foundations course and approached librarians to incorporate information literacy into this newly designed course. Librarians worked with faculty to help create the research paper assignment required of all students. Librarians will teach an instruction session for every section of this class to ensure that all Theatre Arts students learn fundamental research skills which they can use throughout their major. They will also review the bibliographies of the research papers to assess the effectiveness of instruction and make needed changes.
