The project will consist of shipping 33 paper volumes and 4 paper supplements from the Marine Science Library in Port Aransas, TX to the UT Libraries Digitization unit. The Digitization unit will scan each issue, and create PDFs, and OCR text files of each issue. The PDFs and text files will be transferred to the Cataloging & Metadata unit of UTL, where they will create metadata and upload to the UTDR, and create catalog records in the UTL catalog. There may be funds to hire a GRA to assist with the metadata creation. If so, the GRA will be supervised by Digital Access Services.
