Although the Libraries sends courtesy email reminders, it is the borrower's reponsibility to keep track of due dates and to renew on time. Items eligible for semester renewal may be renewed well in advance of their due date.
Borrowers with items checked out for a fourteen-day loan period or longer may renew those items in person or online, according to the following guidelines:
In-person renewal: Most library materials are eligible for in-person renewal at most University of Texas Libraries circulation desks Some materials, for example reserve and audio-visual materials, may be renewed only at the circulation desk from which they were checked out.
Online renewal: Most library materials may be renewed online using My Library Account.
Please be aware that in the following circumstances, online renewal is prevented:
