Study Areas
We strive to make PCL an inviting place to study. Depending on whether you need to study with a group or individually, we recommend the following spots.
Quiet Study Areas
All public areas on floors 1, 3, 4, and 6 are designated quiet study areas. On the main floor of PCL (floor 2), the Reference Room (PCL 2.200) and the Periodicals Room (PCL 2.400) are also quiet study areas.
Collaborative Study Areas
Collaborative study areas are available throughout the building. The entire fifth floor and the UFCU Student Learning Commons (PCL 2.500) are designated collaborative study areas.
The UFCU Student Learning Commons (PCL 2.500) contains first-come, first-served study pods for groups.
Group Study Rooms are available for reservation on floors 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. If your group needs to collaborate on a presentation or view media together, reserve one of the PCL Presentation Practice Rooms. These rooms are equipped with TV screens and laptop connections; view the various types of equipment available to reserve a room that meets your needs.
Go to the Group Study Room page to make a reservation for either a Group Study or Presentation Practice Room. Rooms fill quickly, especially during busy times of the semester, so book a room early.
Interview Room
Use the PCL’s new job interview room equipped with a Cisco Telepresence system to practice for interviews or for actual video-conferenced job interviews.
