PCL Basics

Due to construction around Speedway and 21st Street, UT Libraries recommends the following route to access PCL from the Brazos Garage. Alternate parking may also be found at the Conference Center.

The Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL) is The University of Texas at Austin’s main research library. It embraces all subject fields, with the strongest holdings in the humanities, social sciences, business, and education. Open to everyone, we welcome your visit!

Scholars Commons

Scholars Commons offers scholars a brand new Data Lab, presentation practice rooms, silent study space, and the Graduate Landing Spot.

The Graduate Landing spot is a suite of reservable meeting rooms and a kitchenette, which graduate students can access with their UT ID.

The Data Lab provides scholars with software for data visualization and analysis, such as SPSS, Oxygen XML, and Tableau Public.

Learning Commons

The Learning Commons opened Fall 2015 to support student learning with the latest technologies.

The Media Lab has 44 iMac computers equipped with the latest audio and visual software, like the Adobe suite and Pro Tools.

The Learning Labs offer a high technology environment for professors, library staff, and students to work together in a classroom setting.

The Undergraduate Writing Center provides writing consultations to undergraduate students and graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts.
