Collections of literary criticism may be located in reference collections in the library or in select online reference sources.
Literature Resource Center
Search for biographies, bibliographies and full text critical analysis for more than 90,000 authors. Contains information on literary themes and genres as well as some articles published in scholarly journals.
Articles
The following periodical indexes are good for locating published articles of literary criticism. To see the complete list of periodical indexes available from the University of Texas Libraries, visit

ABELL
Search in keyword or subject fields for the name of your author or work. Some articles are available in full text online; to locate articles that are not, search for the title of the journal in the Library Catalog

MLA Bibliography
Search the title of the literary work or the author's name to find citations to articles in scholarly journals. To locate an article in print in the library, view the "Complete Reference" and then search for the "Source" in the Library Catalog
find the call number and library location for that journal.
Books
In-depth criticism of an author's work is usually located in books. Use the
Library Catalog to find books available in the Libraries. Search for the author's name using a "subject keyword" search to find criticism as well as biographical information.
