The Trial Court Performance Standards and Measurement System expresses a new philosophy and framework for defining and understanding the effectiveness of courts by focusing attention on performance and outcomes important to court customers. This report examines the usefulness of the system to the Austin Municipal Court and offers recommendations about how to incorporate elements of the Standards into Municipal Courts' current performance measurement system.
