The following research project is an analysis of the 76th Texas legislative session with respect to the relationship between a Texas legislators attributes--gender, party, ethnicity, occupation, years of experience, position, and type of district-- and his/her capacity to pass legislation during the session. In determining if there are biases within the system toward certain types of legislators, this report aims to direct attention to the dynamics of the law- making institution, and discuss the fairness of the legislative process in its most current form.
