REPORT 1999 B232 Public Affairs Library

International free trade benefits the border of Texas. Economic theory supports the continued liberalization of trade. The border benefits because the long-term prospect of better jobs and standard of living increases. The border can afford to recognize the historical benefis of trade agreements and understand the social constraints imposed by the implementation of an agreement.
