This report examines prevention of violence in schools. Chapter one discusses the history of school violence. Chapter two identifies the factors inside and outside of school that contribute to school violence. Chapter three looks at the current common school strategies to prevent violence and how these strategies address the factors named in chapter two. Chapter four is a case study of Alliance schools and how they prevent school violence. Finally, chapter five has conclusions and recommendations for the prevention of violence in schools.
