This report explores the differences in the benefits flowing from employment in America, for those workers who are members of a union and those who are not. It takes two of the most discussed issues of employment, and the use of alternative dispute resolution in resolving conflicts arising at the workplace, and details what position all American workers ought to be. It also suggest that the two areas of employment cannot continue to remain stagnant, but must adapt to the changing nature of the global economy if our society takes seriously the notion that the achievement of the American Dream for all Americans is a goal for which we should be collectively striving.
