This professional report will examine the extent to which the government entities help finance sports facilities by 1) taking a look at stadium finance history from the 1950s through today, 2) analyzing whether or not cities have realized all of the economic benefits of building/renovating a sports facility, 3) examining legislation that may change the current stadium finance picture, and 4) providing a financing recommendation for cities that are planning to build a sports venue.
