The Herbarium Collection, over 11,000 volumes supporting the study of systematic botany, is located in MAI 228 in the west wing of the Life Science Library. The collection features extensive microfiche and microfilm resources, including the Plant Taxonomic Literature Collection.

Herbarium materials are often used by university botanists in conjunction with the extensive plant specimen collections of the Plant Resources Center, the largest herbarium in the southwestern United States.
