If you're doing biological research, the Life Science Library has some tools to help make your search a little easier.

Finding Articles is a two-step process:

Using BIOSIS.

The indexes and databases contain references to thousands of articles, searchable by topic, author, date, etc.. The most comprehensive of the biology databases is BIOSIS, and a good general science database is Web of Science. We have tutorials are available for both of them.

On-line Journals

You may also want to browse some of our on-line journals. They offer great convenience, but remember to search the UT Library Catalog for the thousands of journals that aren't on-line, too.

Help

And of course, we're always ready to help you with your search. If you're in the Library, just ring the bell on the main desk. If you're somewhere else, give us a call or an email:
