Parking

Campus parking always presents a challenge, particularly in the area around the Life Science Library. Visitors to campus have essentially three options:
Park for free on-campus. All surface parking on campus requires a permit of some sort from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Many of these spots open up after 5:45. Be sure to read the parking signs carefully.
Park for free off-campus. The Library is within walking distance of the West Campus neighborhood. Street parking is often available within a few blocks of the library. Spaces are easier to find in the evenings and on weekends.
Pay to park on-campus. The closest of the University's parking garages is the San Antonio Garage (SAG), located at 2420 San Antonio St, and is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The parking is free for up to 30 minutes, $10 for 2.5 hours or more, and various prices in between. Information on other garages is available through the University Parking and Transportation Services.
