The Burlington Magazine Online Index is an art-historical database holding more than 40,000 records. All the editorial content of The Burlington Magazine (articles, letters, reviews, calendars) and its illustrations are indexed for issues published from March 1903 until December 2002. (Work in issues 2003-present is in progress).
The Burlington Index provides links to the full text of Burlington Magazine articles hosted at JSTOR. Users may search editorial content of the Burlington Index by author, title, date, subject and article type or click on the "a to z" tab to browse A-Z lists of: contributors, artists, buildings, collectors and art dealers, patrons, private galleries, and museums, collections and institutions. All illustrations in the Burlington Magazine except for advertisements are indexed in the "Illustration" section of the database.
