The Anchor Bible Dictionary (ABD) is a searchable CD-ROM version of the unabridged six volume print edition, complete with illustrations and bibliographies. ABD is the successor to the Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible and contains more than 6,000 entries from 1,000 international scholars and includes articles of critical scholarship about Biblical texts, histories and personalities, religious ideas and themes, ancient Oriental and Hellenistic intellectual and cultural contexts, and other subjects pertaining to the Bible. The King James and the New Revised Standard Bibles also are available in full text. -
