Updated monthly. Contains basic directory information for more than 210 million U.S. residents and 14 million businesses in all zip code areas of the United States. Information includes name of business, address, telephone number, headquarters, branch and subsidiaries identification, SIC codes, yellow pages headings, ticker symbol, credit rating, number of employees, and estimated sales volume. Also includes some federal, state, and municipal offices.

ReferenceUSA can also be used to create maps and charts of business locations. After creating a list (demonstrated in the video below), select the Map or Charts buttons.

At high levels, maps appears as a heat print of the higher and lower densities by location, sales volume, or the number of employees. At lower levels, locations are displayed as points. Points of interest can also be added by clicking the “Zoom to POI” button at the top of the map.

Charts can show sales volume, employee size, SIC code, city, or zip code. Charts can be created from lists with 50 to 500,000 results. In the chart mode, you can filter results, change the chart format, export the chart as an image, view the list of results in each category, and see company profiles for the top 5 results.
