  1. Procuraduría General de la Nación: República de Colombia

    In Spanish. Official government website for the ombudsman of Colombia. Contains news, publications, photographs, audio and video materials, and an event calendar. The Procuraduría oversees state employees in their exercise of their public duties. Within the ongoing peace process between the state and paramilitry forces, the Procuraduría is charged with promoting participatory mechanisms for the victims. They are organizing a project that archives the non-judicial materials produced in the course of the prosecution of paramilitary crimes: testimonies, objects, photographs. Organization has limited funding and security concerns associated with what is a highly controversial peace process between the state and the paramilitaries. Links between paramilitary forces and state agents have been publicly denounced, and in certain cases proved in court.

  2. Taiwan Association for Human Rights

    In Chinese and English. Formed in 1994, TAHR focuses on all areas related to human rights and is the longest-running human rights organization in Taiwan. Contains news on latest campaigns and projects.

  3. Tunezine [Tunisia]

    In French and Arabic. The Association monitors the violations of human rights in Tunisia works to defend the rights of the political detainees, and publishes news regarding the violations that nationals of neighboring Arab countries face. Closed in 2006.

  4. United Nations Organization Mission in DR Congo

    In English and French. Determined in 2000 according to a UN security council resolution, the UN peacekeeping force in the Democratic Republic of Congo's mandate includes facilitation of humanitarian assistance and human rights monitoring, with particular attention to vulnerable groups including women, children and demobilized child soldiers. Site contains photographs, newsletters, maps, and press releases for download, audio and video clips, and press coverage.
