  1. Honduras Resiste y Vence

    In Spanish. This blog site was created by a group of lawyers in response to the Honduran coup of July 2009. The creators compose object to the illegality of the coup and the police's repression of all protest since its beginning. The site contains a wide range of materials related to human rights, including reports, analysis, recorded testimonies, protest videos and alternative propaganda.

FIDH aims at obtaining effective improvements in the protection of victims, the prevention of human rights violations and the sanction of their perpetrators worldwide. Focuses on human rights defenders, international justice, terrorism, death penalty, women's rights, forced disppearances, globalization, migration and asylum. Site contains news on each area of focus, information on intergovernmental organizations, and copies of financial statements.

  3. IGLYO - International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Youth and Student Organization

    In English. IGLYO is the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Youth and Student Organization. It was created in 1984 as a reaction to the need for better co-operation among local, regional and national LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) youth and student organizations. IGLYO is a major source of information relevant for local youth groups and organizations. IGLYO’s work aims to build the capacity of its member organizations by providing spaces where information could be exchanged and shared. The website reflects this focus on networking and information sharing, including a variety of reports and information on conferences and networking events.

  4. ILGA: International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association

Founded in 1978, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association is a world-wide network of national and local groups dedicated to achieving equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people everywhere. ILGA is the only international non-profit and non-governmental community-based federation focused on presenting discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation as a global issue. The site includes news coverage and policy statements from gay rights groups around the world.

  5. Institutos de Derechos Humanos de la Universidad Centroamericana "José Simeón Cañas" / Central American University's José Simeón Cañas Institute of Human Rights [El Salvador]

    In Spanish. Contains press releases, position statements, photographs, testimonies, PDF documents of publications, and articles dating back to 1996. The Institute documents all types of human rights violations in El Salvador, with a particular emphasis in documenting human rights violations as a result of state violence (during the civil war) and providing legal aid to victims. IDHUCA's members are in a precarious security situation because El Salvador's government is notorious for its efforts at detering any investigations or information on human rights violations. Members of IDHUCA have been harassed.

  6. Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre

    In English. IDMC, established in 1998 by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and based in Geneva, Switzerland, is the leading international body monitoring conflict-induced internal displacement worldwide. Activities include running an online database providing comprehensive information and analysis on internal displacement in some 50 countries. Based on its monitoring and data collection activities, the Centre advocates for durable solutions to the plight of the internally displaced in line with international standards. The IDMC also carries out training activities to enhance the capacity of local actors to respond to the needs of internally displaced people (IDPs). In its work, the Centre cooperates with and provides support to local and national civil society initiatives. Site contains downloadable country profiles, workshop reports, training materials in English, French and Spanish, background information, photographs, maps and press releases.

The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) is a leading international organization dedicated to human rights advocacy on behalf of people who experience discrimination or abuse on the basis of their actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. Reports and analysis can be found for a variety of issue areas: discrimination, privacy, violence, etc.

The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) is a leading international organization dedicated to human rights advocacy on behalf of people who experience discrimination or abuse on the basis of their actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. The blog site contains articles and commentary of events and news related to gay rights issues around the world.

  9. International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights

The International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights (IHF) is an international, nongovernmental organization constituted by national Helsinki Committees and Cooperating Organizations in the participating States of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Website contains news, reports and issue area campaign documents for international human rights concerns.
