The Library's Electronic Information Center (EIC) workstations provide library patrons with a number of applications to use. This page lists these applications with a short description and a test link for each program.

Mozilla Firefox	Firefox is an Internet browser that you can use to visit web pages and search the Web
SSH Secure Shell	SSH/Telnet Client - SSH client program that enables you to make an SSH (Secure Shell) connection to a remote Unix or OpenVMS host computer. SSH encrypts all data that you send to the host.(This program emulates a VT100 terminal.)
SSH Secure File Transfer	SSH/FTP Client - SSH client program that enables you to make an SFTP (secure File Transfer Protocol) connection to a remote Unix or OpenVMS host computer. SSH encrypts all data that you send to the host.
Microsoft Office 2007	A desktop productivity suite including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and many more applications
Flash Player	Internet browser plug-in player used to deliver rich graphics content.... ...more info about Flash Player

Authorware	Internet browser plug-in player used to deliver rich graphics content
QuickTime Player	media player that plays a wide variety of audio and video files (when testing QuickTime, a QuickTime update window may pop up; please click "Later" in the window to ignore the popup) ...more info about Quicktime Player
RealOne Player	media player that plays a wide variety of audio and video files (test link in the rightmost column shows a UTNetCat introduction video: if you can view the video, hear the sound and no error/update messages appear, then RealOne is working properly) ...more info about RealOne Player
