To use headphones, you will need to locate a headphone jack. Most machines (the black Dells) have a headphone jack under a flip-up front cover and a headphone jack on the back panel. To use your headphone set, you will need to open the front cover and plug your device into the jack. Those machines that do not have a flip-up front cover are equipped with a back-panel headphone jack. To locate a back-panel headphone jack, please look for a green jack or one that has a green label next to it.
NOTE: Headphone jacks built into CD-ROM drives available in some older machines do not work. Please use the back panel headphone jack instead.
