Because of the customized way of handling USB-based devices on this workstation, users will not see the standard Microsoft message notifying them that their USB device has been installed and is ready to use. Instead, after they insert the USB device and after the operating system recognizes it, they will see the following message in the center of the screen:

At this point, you can access data saved on your memory stick and add data to it.
When you are done using your memory stick, you can safely remove it from the computer by taking it out of the USB port. You will NOT need to look for a special button on the task bar in the right-hand corner of the screen to stop and remove your USB device.
NOTE:
1) This workstation is capable of using only one USB storage device at a time. In other words, if you insert two USB sticks at the same time, only one of them will be available at drive Y:. If you need to copy data from one memory stick to another, please insert one stick first, copy the needed data from it to the desktop, then insert the other stick and copy the data from the desktop to that stick;
2) Please note that you will only receive the notification message, shown in PICTURE 1, once per logon session. In other words, you will receive the message when you put in your memory stick for the first time, but if you take it out and then put it or another stick in during the same logon session, the operating system will automatically be ready to use the stick, and no notification message will appear.
