Saving Data to a CD

This workstation offers two methods for saving data to a CD. The first method is easier, but offers limited functionality, while the second method is more complex and provides more options. Please read below for more information.

Method 1 (Using Nero) :

Attention!
If you use Nero to write data to a CD/DVD on this machine, all data previously saved on the CD/DVD will be overwritten and become unavailable. You will only be able to access the data that was saved during the latest Nero writing session.
Your CD burned with Nero will be finalized, and you will not be able to add more data to the CD after your recording session is complete. If you don’t need the data you have previously saved on your CD/DVD or if you intend to write your data to a blank CD/DVD, then Nero is the best method to use. Otherwise, please use “Method 2” described below.

Please click here for instructions on how to burn a CD with Nero or click here to consult the Nero Manual.

Method 2 (using default XP cd-burning feature):

This method requires you to switch from the virtual environment of the Microsoft® Virtual PC® to the host machine. While this method is more involved than using Nero, it does not overwrite the data, already saved on your CD, and it allows more data to be added to the CD later. Please refer to the detailed description of the steps that are required to save data using this method.
